Cairngorm loop could be anything at that time of year depending on snow cover/melt. The 2016 May group start was cancelled due to the amount of snow cover.

There's at least thirteen significant river crossings on the Cairngorm Loop.

With Easter being early this year I'd be wary of conditions in the Highlands, there's likely to be a lot of snow about. Further south there's the Borders 350, Stu's Big Bear and The Cambrian Trail among named/existing ITT routes.

If you don't mind a linear route then the Pennine Bridleway between Matlock and Kirkby Stephen, a bit of improvisation to get from there to Hexham and then the Sandstone Way would probably be a hard five days at that time of year.

I'll email it across. Save it to your desktop, then open it in bikehike.

If conditions allow I'm really hoping to do the Deeside Trail at Easter, on the fat bike. I'll be staying with family nr Dundee so its that or the Capital Trail I think.
