Speedster Stoves - Anyone used them?

Post by Joe »

Someone linked to these on STW, just wondered if anyone had used the stoves or pot stands, all looks very light and also cheap!

They're open cylinder stoves, so don't produce the same output as a pressurised stove will. They're cheap because they're a screw top tin you put meths in and light ... yes, they have a wick but it's not required and doesn't aid performance.

Empty one of these ... pretty much the same thing or promise to put 2 quid in the next Guide dog box you see and I'll send you one.

I have a Vaseline tin stove

Now very efficient but it's simple and works. I put esbit blocks in the lid and meths in the bottom (I used stove insulation as the wadding/wick). Fits nicely in a Pocket stove
