A large proportion of the route is either tarmac, fire road or gravel/stone tracks. There's probably a maximum of 20Km where an MTB would have a definite advantage but some of those 20Km might be pushing or HaB anyway Stuart has mentioned that the route is CX/Gravel bike friendly. I suppose it depends how good you are on a CX.boxelder wrote:Do-able on a 'gravel bike' allegedly?
I can't do this years 300, due to attending a wedding, but will be at the 200.whitestone wrote:A large proportion of the route is either tarmac, fire road or gravel/stone tracks. Then again Emma Osenten did the YD300 on a CX bike which I certainly wouldn't fancy doing.
