I've updated the maps to include:-

-HT550 2017 route
-Cambrian Trail
-Braunton 150
-More right of way data

Could have done with this thread last week Dave - it would have been a reminder to take the Spanish maps off the Garmin and put the UK ones back on, which in turn would have made navigating the Jenn Ride a much more straightforward affair.

I've never used Basecamp, the less contact with Garmin software the better! just download and tweak the file name (add UKBP or something) and drop it in the Garmin folder. When you power up the gps it will look for, and find maps. It'll be in the list of maps (or may appear automatically)

Cheers. Was mostly just so I could have a browse on the computer rather than on the device. That's useful info though.

Create a Garmin directory in Virtual device. Drop my maps into there and Basecamp will load automatically

Also you may have to mess with the detail level in Basecamp otherwise the maps will look a right mess at certain zoom levels

I see the Cambrian Trail and the Highland Trail on there, but not the Braunton 150. Will mess with the detail though as maybe I'm doing something wrong.

That will live forever, unless I have a clearcut which never happens on that domain.

A search online comes up with several bothy GPX lists (mainly MBA only) which you can add to your device as points of interest. Not as convenient granted but easier to keep updated or extend with your own data.

Yeah - I've done the POI thing already.

Bothies are on there which is why we keep these maps within *our* community atm

I'd finished my gpx route 1/2 mile short on the way to Burleywhag bothy a couple of months back so ended up coming home again as it was so foggy and to dangerous to keep going not knowing exactly where it was only to discover if I'd switched to your map I'd have found it, always double check on yours now before setting off.
