This is the road that goes through the Sennybridge military area.

Does anyone know if it is usually open to the public - I have had a bit of a google looking for a phone number to confirm but no luck yet.

I know that the Cambrian Trail goes through the forest nearby, but will be on my road bike.

Strangely vague details on MOD website but listed under Epyntway shows June firing 2017.

I have just received this :

The road that leaves the A40 at Llywel heading north over towards Tirabad. This road is generally open for the public to transit, but I would ask that on the day before your travel you call my Ops room (01874 635599) and get confirmation that the road is open just in case we have closed it for exercise reasons.

The Llywel to Tirabad road is open all the time. Technically it's a military road and they can close it if they wish, but I've never known them do it.
