What is almost certain is a lot of rain at some point over the three days from Friday.

Indeed. 30 hours of rain with 25 to 50mph Southerly. Gabba and waterproof jacket it is then, and I think I'll be making space for the winter gloves too.

Just remember, when someone speeds round a BB300 in the sunshine in 24 hours in a couple of years time you'll be able to say "yeah but the year I finished it..."

I'm kinda wishing I'd bought some new waterproof socks because I might as well have them on right from the start.

I'm also going to have to adjust my timing estimates because that headwind is going to mess me up (one major problem with being light).

B150 was slightly different in that if you were fast enough at the start you managed to avoid most of the weather.

Everyone else had to contend with nearly being blown off the cliffs, knee high bogs, and so much rain that when we eventually scratched at the pub they had to mop up around us three times.

My current stress is making it to Friday without catching the horrendous cold that is usually due about this time of year. Also, I still need to fix my bike ;-)

I cant decide on what to wear on my feet. Winter cycling boots or normal cycling shoes, with it being wet but not too cold and with the rain forecast they are not going to stay dry whatever but I am thinking it might be worth using the boots just to keep my feet warm over night. It looks like clothing is going to be a tricky call all round.

weather looks okay on sunday, and is looking slightly better on sat.
though, with all the forecast rain on friday expect it to be muddy.

waterproof trousers will get a lot of use on sat i suspect.

My TLS ethos is falling apart; I'm up to extra gloves, socks and intermediate jacket that I wasn't planning on taking.

On a positive note: I hoped to be passed Clun (300 route) before the shop opened on Sunday morning, but there's much less chance of that now.

And...the forecast now has it stopping raining about midnight, but the wind direct turns to North Westerly hahahahaha!
