Not attempting to ride to Mossdale, unless its frozen over and you're carrying the firewood and cheese

It's not too bad a ride in from the Shap side, past the Withnail & i house..
I'd be happy to do a coal/log drop off, no cheese though..
Just thinking about the option of some sort of shelter if the weathers bad

Thanks, but we're Northern and can cope with a bit of weather.

Next you'll be requesting a firepit and a outside loo

Might be up for this, is it ok for slow girlies too ?

Shelter sounds ace, a barn or similar or a bothy, altho having waded to Mossdale from Longsleddale, with luggage, before less keen on that side too !

Everyone's welcome, especially if you buy me a drink

It's a social ride, so we'll be going the pace of the slowest. The fast guys can get the gates.

It's winter, so come prepared, as we'll be riding in the dark and sleeping out.
If anyone needs to borrow any kit, let me know and I'll see what I can dig out.

I'm looking good for a permit to get out providing the wife doesn't go into labour early!

Technically, the South East Chilterns Winter Bivi has an inside loo, as it's inside an outhouse.

Thanks, but route and pub arranged.
Riding as per the original plan, South West from Ambleside and anyone familiar with the area won't be surprised where we're going :-bd

Excellent. So from a catering point of view, the evening meal is sorted (in the pub)?

Am I right then, in thinking that I only need to carry enough food to get me to the boozer, some breakfast, and something to get me back to Ambleside the next day?

No idea at the moment.
Looks to be some good spots not too far from the Pub, but i'm sure we'll find something suitable.
