It's crazy. They can shut down city centres and close roads to hold road events but you can't close a bridleway in the middle of nowhere.
It is Ray, oddly you could get permission to close a BW but you still couldn't race / time a pushbike along it. You could however, race a motorbike or car along it.

Yes that was it Bob...

I lent it to someone ages ago and it was never returned, don’t know where they are now - a really poor show...

HT550: What weight of food if no shopping allowed ?

Freeze dried breakfast, evening meal and desert = about a pound per day, (2400 kCals)then add for during the day... say another pound
So that’s 2 pounds per day.

So for 4 days it’s only 8 lbs (3.6 kg)
For 8 days it’s 16 lbs (7.2 kg)

Doesn’t sound too much does it ?

Would be more in the spirit of the adventure... ?

(I only mention cos somebody said Stop being Soft

No idea if it’s true or not but an inebriate friend of mine always claimed you could live on a diet of guiness and peanuts from the bar for a couple of weeks at least

When my brother in-law was still in the Irish defence forces 4 of them spent a week in the mess they were supposed to be building and proved that you can do it for a week , I don't think any toilet would survive the aftermath though,( this was only Guinness no food was consumed of any kind so can't comment on what the peanuts could provide)
