I don't generally tend to bother Paul as publishing 'results' adds to the belief that it's a race. I will say that the drop out rate this year was around 40%, which is about double previous years.

That's fair enough, can see your point. Not surprising the 40% but a shame that there were probably others on the waiting list that may have gone for it

No sorry, I mean that 40% of starters recorded a DNF. The actual no show rate on the day remained surprisingly low.
