For why?

Nothing good happens after about 19:30, that's a scientific fact. I consider the day won if I'm in bed before the kids are asleep (~20:30) - who says rock and roll is dead???

Target - 72kg
8/1 - 77.1kg
14//1 - 76kg
21/1 - 75.8kg

Today 75.1kg. All going the right way. TBF, getting slightly bored of it so there have been some odd snacks creeping in but nothing that is throwing it off track. Slow and steady is fine. At the same time, I do feel like I've lost weight and some dumbbell exercises are having an effect too. That is helping the motivation to keep going.

21 Jan - 96.6 (15st 3lb) - generally booze free during the week.
28 Jan - 96.6 - stasis

Morning all ..I'm very late to the table ...
A few years ago (2017?) a big bunch of Godiva Trailriders ( there wasn't very many of us but we were (are?) all pretty big (read "fat")) rocked up at BB Towers for a social evening of beer, music & midges.
I spoke at length to someone espousing LCHF (can't remember who) and it peeked my interest.
I was about 17.5 stone (111kg) at the time.
Me and the Boy went home and looked into LCHF.
I also hit 50 and decided I didn't want to be fat and 50.
I got into LCHF and man it worked ! in 6 months I got down to 14.5 stone and had NEVER felt better.
I've mostly kept that weight off and December 2018 went vegetarian, which I still am and has been pretty easy.
Over the last 6 months carb intake snuck up and so did the weight.
Christmas just gone I snuck over 15 stone /95kg.
Not happy.
So back on the Keto.
Also did mostly Dry January which is harder as my birthday is the 25th Jan and I do like a beer.
Veggie Keto is much harder than normal Keto but still doable. I could do with some new recipes as I'm bored of what I'm eating.
I've been tracking my weight and and I'm nearly back to 'acceptable'
1/1/22 - 96kg
8/1/22 - 93.44kg
15/1/22 - 92.07kg
22/1/22 - 92.07kg
29/1/22 - 92.07kg
for the last 3 weeks I've been static, but I know LCHF does this.
I probably only want to lose another 2kg , so it's a slow burner.
I'm cycling a bit and doing some kettlebell / resistance band HIIT sessions too.
Sorry for the overload of info....

Week four 79kg. Now just another 4 (but should be 5 or 6 really) kgs to go. 😃
Week five 80.2kg 🙄Think the two cream teas didn't help, I don't think it was exercising more that did it 😂. Not much else to say but no more clotted cream and scones with Paul and Martin.
Week six 79.5kg well starting again today😜

Target = 95kg (eventually)

Yes, yes, yes and a few more times YES!

I had my hernia surgery on Monday and so I've been stuck in bed, enjoying lots of ouchiness and boredom ever since.

And so the plan I made with Mrs Gairy is that she's hidden everything I shouldn't be eating and I'm getting by on three sensible meals per day (otherwise I'd just gorge myself to compensate for the forced inactivity, pain and misery etc...).

Another week of this before I can start to reintroduce a bit of light exercise etc... and so the plan is to keep it up and hope I manage to come out the other side lighter than before - fingers crossed.....

31/12/2021:. 113.9kg
07/1/2022:. 113.9kg
14/1/2022: 112.9kg
22/1/2022:. 112.9kg
04/2/2022:. 112.2kg

Missed a week, but atleast I'm another 0.7kg (1.5lb) down.

Been in my usual boom and bust health wise, which results in a messed up head and low mood, and I should know better.

If only I put as much effort into my diet as I did trying to be active. I over do it (for me) activity wise and then get down with all the pains and fatigue with my knee replacement and temperamental ticker.

Also down as I've failed on the BAM at the first hurdle. Family stuff got in the way to some degree, but being in the physical state I have been I didn't want a crap night's sleep on top of it all. Oh well....

Sorry for the pity me post. Best of luck all :-bd

I think there's a number of us who've had success with it, or versions of it. I got down to a very sleek 90kg on it a few years back and actually enjoyed the way of eating. I really need to again as my health was so much better. I'm very much a carb addict; wheat and sugar really don't agree with me; and yet I go back to them

90kg with my frame is light enough for people to start questioning you. My ultimate goal would be 85kg.

Target = 75kg

02/01/22 = 89.9kg
07/01/22 = 90.5kg
14/01/22 = 88.8kg
21/01/22 = 88.3kg
28/01/22 = 88.0kg
04/02/22 = 87.5kg

My weight loss is more gradual than I was hoping, however I'm thinking this might be down to the fact that I'm doing cross-trainer / Kettlebell HIIT three nights a week, and gym sessions twice a week.
Am I correct in thinking that building muscle, as I lose fat, will skew the weight loss results ?

It's much easier when you can have meat ..... Ardennes Pate was much better than any energy gel and my go to cycling fuel.
As a veggie it's more restrictive still but I work with it.
I'm probably on the softer side of keto as we'll put a can of chick peas in a veggie curry or kidney beans in a chilli.
Still avoid all the obvious carbs though.
I just need to expand my keto repertoire to stave off the boredom.
I 've never been below 14 stone, not since passing through as a yoof.. I got to 14.2 and folks started saying I looked ill.
