Oat cakes and pate or cheese or egg mayo or tinned fish are what I often have at work; even handy when I'm out and about.
The other thing that works at work is mixed leaf salad with beetroot, olives and eggs, fish ( hot smoked.salmon) or those packets of cooked chicken chunks.
Saying that other ideas for work would be great as that's where I really struggle.

Yes, I do some of those too.
Sometimes I'll grab a portion of homemade chilli or curry out of the freezer and take that. A double portion usually negates the need for any "white carbs" e.g. rice or bread.

I suppose it depends on what facilities you have 'at work' . I work in an office so have the obligatory microwave and kettle.
I like a salad and I'm keen on prawns so quite often have a "larger than a starter" prawn cocktail for lunch.
A lot of the low carb 'lifestyles' suggest having leftovers from last nights for lunch. I just wondered what a leftover is?

What do those on keto-type diets eat when out on long rides?
Re: Bearbones Fatfighters Club...
This is a useful read especially as he's a bikepacker...

From my reading salami, peperami, baby bell, other cheeses , little tubs of nut butter, nuts, dark chocolate, coconut cream and milk , stuff like that.
I know in the states particularly there's people using manufactured keto supplements like ucan and exogenous ketones and stuff lime vespa but I don't know if you can get that stuff in the UK even if you wanted it.

I believe the secret to this weight loss might lie in the riding, you know
Burnt 1400 kcal on today's ride, which if I don't put it all back in + running with the 200 daily calorie deficit should work nicely. Make sure protein is high, and for the riding part, keto diet or not, you have to consume carbs once you heart rate gets above "endurance" pace.
Re: Bearbones Fatfighters Club...
4.5 hours and 2300cals for todays ride if you believe strava. I think I can risk a tasty treat for tea Maybe even a scotch egg I like them too.

Re: Bearbones Fatfighters Club...
5hrs40mins and a Strava calculated 3700Kcals for me today. Had to fight the cat for the post ride tin of tuna The cafe I was aiming for turned out to be shut for January so a bit of bonk near the end plus a slow puncture
Better weight than wisdom, a traveller cannot carry
Re: Bearbones Fatfighters Club...
I know you wont be using them to actively eat to a target (or at least I hope not), but you should probably be aware that Strava's calorie figures are as bad as their estimated average power figures....
...that said, in the unlikely event that you have a power meter on your bike, they'll be pretty reasonable estimates. :)

Don't worry. For all I'd like to believe everything strava tells me I know it's not to be trusted. It also told me I went up a 2500m mountain which isn't going to happen in the UK never mind Shetland

Re: Bearbones Fatfighters Club...
After years of nonsense estimates on Garmin Connect, they now make a pretty decent guess at energy consumption, cross checked with my power meter. I much prefer Golden Cheetah for geeking on the data; great metrics (as good as anything I have found in subscription services), no need for an internet connection and it is free! Today's 4 hour endurance pace (slow) ride was 1700kcal, which I can replace far too easily!

That's a decent size kebab in my experience.
Re: Bearbones Fatfighters Club...
I've noticed a gradual change in my attitude towards less than heathly food. (I'm avoiding the word treats) now when considiring whether not to consume, my first thought is no longer "it's just the one, it'll be fine" - I'm no longer thinking of that food in isolation but now think of the cumulative impact both in terms of health and weight - no doubt helped by the fortnightly weigh in and graphs!

Not so much a gravel grinder.... more a gravel (mud and tarmac) groveller...

Often I say to myself "I'm not wasting my calories on that sh*t".
