Beautiful area, very understated around there

Agreed. When I moved to the area from Cumbria I had very low expectations, but I discovered loads of great bike rides and walks in beautiful countryside.

And a bit freaky / reminiscent of weeping angels (which is no reflection on your skills Greg, just my adult/child tendency to want to hide behind the sofa during Dr Who )

Irritated at this, -2*C and hail and for the first time my a7 fails on me. The photo is there as I saw it, it's just not as I wanted it.

Bit of a B&W theme going on recently on here. This one isn't even if it looks like it. Taken on a chilly 50 mile ride back from my sister's place in freezing fog a couple of weeks ago.

Very rare you'll ever see a colour photo from me.

Ok, so not the last month, but since March this year I've taken a pic of my back yard on the first of every month just for the heck of it and because I have way too much free time on my hands. I forgot one month (cant remember which) but I got most of them and I just love the way the seasons meld and to see the subtle changes month to month. And my tomato plants in their coloured containers, all repurposed horse feed buckets!! It's not great photography of course, but for a bloke stuck working from home since forever, it makes a nice record and I'll be doing it again next year. Cheers everyone.

Taken on a mobile and converted to B&W but I think it captures the feelinbg of a disused quarry in December better like that. But maybe the splash of colour in the original adds to the bleakness of the location behind?

@Sean I know what you mean, I've had the same dilemma looking at some of mine in that quarry...the bleakness sort of begs for black and white, but then somehow in colour, which is very very similar, it sort of shows even more just how bleak it is ...

Happy memories of a great weekend! Seems ages ago!!
