Hmm, looks interesting - wonder how permanent the repairs would be with glueless patches. Also interesting is a 29+ size - Odd given Schwalbe don't actually do a 29+ tyre.

One of the reasons I like 25.4mm bars. I appreciate they can still be made very stiff if you wanted but I tend to think they're generally a little more forgiving.Bar flex is undervalued..

Re: New Bike Gear Out And Due Out...
Good find.
The + tube is rated for 62 - 75 mm.
Their 29er Magic Mary, Big Betty, Nobby Nic and a few others come in at up to 2.6" or 65 mm (according to Schwalbe, in reality 2.6" = 66 mm). I'll leave it to others to say if that's a 29+ size or not, but they seem to have the tyres to go with their own tubes.
Also quite a few Schwalbe 27.5 tyres go up to 2.8" which is equal to 71 mm.
But who knows, perhaps Schwalbe will be releasing some 29 x 2.8" tyres...

Hopefully schwalbe will sort a better repair system out. Otherwise FAIL!

Re: New Bike Gear Out And Due Out...
I'm not really seeing the point with these new tubes really ... I understand the perceived benefits but I still don't really see the point

Re: New Bike Gear Out And Due Out...
Unrepairable is a major weakness in any tube system.Hopefully schwalbe will sort a better repair system out. Otherwise FAIL!

Not if you are the one making and selling the tubes

I've always wondered if having a wider "cleat" might make HAB easier, but appreciate this might just be extra slippery.
I'd be interested to see how these work and pricing, might be a fun novelty to try when they're released.

I love marketting guff and that is a beauty. When protons and neutrons shake, entropy is created. Energy is built with every pedal stroke,”
bad news for those who never stop eh I guess they just undo the shoes to get offAnd the longer I pedaled, the stronger the attachment became.
On a serious point i would not mind trying some

They look interesting.
Would the large magnet which looks like it would be in contact with the ground not be really slippy walking on rock?
I wonder how it all works covered in a good layer of winter slop.

I think the magnet is in the pedal and the clear is just a metal plate. I imagine it would be slippy but the reduction in stones getting caught would be an advantage and I imagine a bit of slop wouldn’t stop it working so it might be ideal for days with a lot of getting off to go through muddy gate entrances.lune ranger wrote: ↑Sun Oct 11, 2020 8:34 am They look interesting.

I can foresee some true comedy moments for those with steel frames.

PlanetX are working on bringing out a 29er drop barred rigid mountain bike according to a post they made on their facebook, no other details yet but could be of some interest to people on here

Sam at Singular is working on one too.holdsteady wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 2:04 pm PlanetX are working on bringing out a 29er drop barred rigid mountain bike according to a post they made on their facebook, no other details yet but could be of some interest to people on here

Re: New Bike Gear Out And Due Out...
An update to the Gryphon Jameso?
Re: New Bike Gear Out And Due Out...
The Pipedream Sirius is out soon...
Re: New Bike Gear Out And Due Out...
Always liked the old Gryphon but never got one, would be interested to see a new one if it happens...and lugs sound cool!
Anyway, here's a new release that will surely excite the boner cognoscenti, and those who bandy about the term 'hipster' like it belongs in a spitoon
$120 arse pouch, $220 flannel shirt, $50 stem cell attachment. I did initially think it was a tartan blanket holder...

Re: New Bike Gear Out And Due Out...
A waist pack? Gives me gut ache thinking about carrying all that on a belt. Used to have a camelback waist pouch and it was almost unusable with the 1.5l bladder full (the bag's bladder, not mine)$120 arse pouch, $220 flannel shirt, $50 stem cell attachment. I did initially think it was a tartan blanket holder...
I do like Swift's stuff though. Pricey but really nice.

Re: New Bike Gear Out And Due Out...
Oh for sure, their stuff looks very nicely made, if pricey. I'd certainly have one of their bar bags if I needed one or had the money. I know what you mean about that much around the waist...and extending the weight outwards seems a bit odd. Anyway, i'm sure a picnic blanket will come along at some point, then it's time for a wicker seatpack...jameso wrote: ↑Wed Nov 11, 2020 11:04 amA waist pack?
