Me. Perhaps.

I have the bike, the kit, a plan and - as long as I have a typical-for-me winter - the fitness. More significant hurdles will be a pass from home for a week and the nod from Alan with my recent palmarès (I did do a fairly tough 3-dayer this year but it had a drop bag which I used, the shame).

I'm in. I was signed up for this year, but due to a pretty nasty knee injury, didn't do it. Knee is getting stronger, so fingers crossed it's up to it.

Good luck with that Karl ... sounds hard but much more fun than riding a BMX round the coast of Costa Rica (perhaps the world's running out of challenges?)

Maybe an ITT for Tom and I at Easter, but we might go and do the Trans Spain route instead.

We'll see what the weather looks like it might do.

I've been considering the HT550 next year but undecided about the 'pressure' of entering the group start.

Me too. Will probably (try) and ride the route next year, no chance of me starting the group start though. Can't take the pressure! Happy just bumbling along at my own pace.

I want to enter, but I still need to do a qualifying event. The original plan was to do Ian's C2C next April, but I'm assuming the group start will be full by that point.

My utter indifference and general lack of regard for this mediocre little bicycle race is well known. (Cough! Splutter!)

No group start for me next year. The start is the same weekend as the European Singlespeed Championships in Evanton which I am helping to organise.

Might do an ITT at some point.

Given this years weather, 2017 will surely be awful?

Looking to 2018. But thinking of Navad for next year....Talk me out of it now before I get fully obsessed with preparation.

I've got an axe to grind with this one and will be back to seek revenge stronger, faster, and fitter than this year! Just not sure if it'll be next year as there is other events i want to do as well but then again it's still niggling away at me mocking me!

Hey Tom, I'm planning to participate at that event as I'm going to race at the WEMBO 24h in Finale Ligure the weekend after.

So no HTR but I might ride bits and see some of you around...

Surprised you've taken the time to notice for a race you have so little interest in

This time last year I was all fired up for doing it until Alan didn't give me a start. But it meant I got to do an ITT the week before in glorious weather and no midges. Anyone thinking of doing an ITT should definitely consider the week before ( don't underestimate the "pressure" of being out there alone although you get great support from the group riders via social media :-bd )

I've got the pass out, so barring accidents, I'm hoping to be there for the "pressure" of the group start - and try not to be last!!!

Suspect I'll be a bit busy that time next year so I'll not make it sadly. But, I'll happily continue as race commentator as ever.
