SOLD: Large AK Possum

Post by Pyro »

Playing with various bits of kit in the garage last night, and this seems the most logical thing to do...

I bought a large black AK Possum frame bag off here about a year ago, 'Son' was selling it as it was a bit too big for his needs, and I've come to the same conclusion. It's a tight fit on my 54cm Cotic X, looks like it won't fit when it's empty but goes into the triangle without too much issue once you've got stuff in it. I bought a new Medium one which is actually a much better fit, so the Large is really surplus to requirement. I've only used it about 3 times in the past year.

Happy to sell it on at £40 posted - will need new velcro strapping but you can get that cheap on Amazon - or swap for a Small Possum (or similar) that will fit my 18" Scandal 29er.

I might have this, I'll need to go and check sizes though.

No worries, let me know whenever!
Like I say, it's a tight fit on a 54cm X (53.6cm top tube and skinny steel tubes). I reckon 56cm upwards it would be a good fit.

Hmmm, after a quick wave of a ruler at a couple of bikes it looks like it might be a bit of a snug fit. I think I'll have to make up some sort of template for a proper check. Don't suppose you could tell me how far along the the long side the tallest bit of the bag is could you? It looks about 1/3rd ish, but hard to tell

Ta!

Hey up, sorry for the delay.

The curve across the base is quite even, so the tallest point is around the mid point, rather than off to either side of centre. It's a gentle curved base rather than being triangular as such.

Hope that helps!

I haven't had a chance to check it properly this weekend I'm afraid and I don't think I will for the next few days so hopefully I'll get back to you in a bit! Cheers

Right, apologies for the delay, finally measured it properly. Looks like it'll be a bit too big I'm afraid. One bike could probably take it, just, but the rest it would be a bit too squashed.

Thanks for your help though!

Re-bumping this as I've still got a slightly-surplus-to-requirements Large Possum.

A mate borrowed it for a trip to the US and returned it with a repair, due to a raccoon having a wee nibble trying to get at a cereal bar inside. I'll take some pics, but it's a well-done double-sided repair, shaped and coloured to match the bag outline and I probably wouldn't have noticed it if my mate hadn't pointed it out!

Happy to drop the price to £30 posted if anyone wants it, or still happy to swap for a used Possum in Medium or Small, or a used Fuel Pod in Medium or Large.

Sorry to the people that have been waiting - someone had PM'd me about nabbing it but hasn't responded further after pics.

Pics of the Possum HERE, including the repair.

Cheers!
