A couple of days in the Lakes.

Post by Richpips »

We'd planned on an attempt at the Lakeland 200. Day 1 was good, though we didn't get as far as we had hoped. We were thwarted by the weather on the second day, though I doubt even in better conditions we would have got round in under 40 hours on the tandem.

Still we had a great couple of days riding.

Good stuff.
Amazing as ever.

I'd love to give the Lakes more visits. Last one is far too far back.

Impressive

Must have just missed you in Wasdale as had "nipped" up Great Gable at the end of the day and then down to the Wasdale Head Inn for a pint before heading back to the other end of the lake.

It was "interesting" just walking off the tops in the rising wind at the end of Friday and I can only imagine what it would have been like on Saturday. We went to St Bees and hid in the cafe
