The Ride to Malin Head, Ireland's most Northerly point

Post by Farawayvisions »

If you've ever been to Ireland on Good Friday, you'll know that this is the one day of the year that pubs close their doors.
After cycling for nine days to the most northerly point in the country, I wanted a pint. Here's how I got one.

It was his old bike, two years ago, when we were on our Irish trip. Didn't get round to writing it all up.

Still loving his Longitude?
Hub gears?

What grips is he using on the Jones, I sense we are similar size/paws.

Large Ergon grips, JBay. The same ones he had on the old bike, with one cut down to fit the Rohloff twist grip.
His love for the Longitude grows stronger as time goes on.
As for the hub gears, well he had an Alfine 11 on the old bike, which spend half its life being 'repaired'. The Rohloff is living up to all his expectations and he doesn't need to spend any time fiddling with it and making adjustments like he did with the alfine. Makes me yearn for a Rohloff for myself.
