Need ideas and company near Dundee

Post by MarioNeto »

Hey guys, this is my first time in Scotland and I'd like to ask you for some help. I'm living in Dundee right now and I'd like to go bikepacking. I'm used to bike touring in Brazil and Patagonia, but I'm a bit overwhelmed with the huge amount of options I have here in Scotland and I don't now where to start.

Could any of you guys suggest any short trips near Dundee? My bike is an old rigid Muddy Fox and I'm not in my best shape, so it cannot be too demanding. Also if someone's fancies joining me, I'd love the idea.

Cheers,
Mario

Hi Mario
There's the Sidlaw Hills just north of Dundee or get along to Broughty Ferry and pick up the coastal path north. Good to see another retro bike rider  I ride retro and modern. When you get a bit fitter you've got the Cairngorms not to fair away as well.

Thanks Rob, I'll take a look at your suggestions for sure!

I'd really like to ride at the Cairngorms at some point.

Cheers!
