4 of us will be mooching around in Presteign/Kington/New Radnor/Penybont on Saturday then Penybont/Knighton/Presteign on Sunday :)

Forecast looks pretty vaguely exciting tbh :)

We started in Presteigne and picked up Offas Dyke to Kington ...... pretty much unrideable .... lesson learned.... took Offas Dyke over Hergest Ridge  I've ridden Hergest a few times having done 3x Rough Rides ... but having only 1x10 and a heavily laden bike made it hard going  then up to New Radnor

The plan was to head out New Radnor up onto the Hills behind making our way over to Penybont. .... but we ran out of daylight so made tracks along the A44   2nd biggest climb of the day !

34.5miles and 3721 feet of climbing .... was enough for me !

Camped at Penybont and watched England lose to the Aussies in a Welsh pub :???: ...was all very good humoured, great food and superb beer.

Day two was basically Penybont to Presteigne via Crossgates for breakfast .... we decided to head to Radnor Forest rather than the original route .... it was tough going getting up to the top but well worth it ...... only a short day at 23.5 miles and 2700' but my legs knew about it .....
