Dynamo Recommendation

Post by MarkW »

Hello!

Its time to replace my front hub and I thought I might as well get a dynamo hub.

Anyone have any recommendations on something that would stand up to the abuse it would get being fitted to my MTB?

Exposure/SP PD-8 PD8X (made by so but can be had branded as exposure) is popular and a good mix of vfm to weight. Evans have them at a good price with the exposure revo light if you just need qr fitting. The X with qr/15mm fitting is a fair bit more.

The cycle2charge stem cap Stu reviewed looks very good.

I've got an Exposure branded SP, seems to do the job.

Rose have the Shimano XT Dynamo hubs, bit heavier than the SP but a little cheaper.
