Peak District trail conditions

Post by Tanglefist »

I tried riding the classic Edale loop the other day, got to Rushup only to find piles of uncompressed snow and decided it wasn't time to attempt ploughing] it.

Do you guys have any go-to webcams or ways of determining trail conditions in the peaks before you ride? I've found a couple of webcams, but they're few and far between and some of them seem ok until you realize the last time they were updated was 2011.

If you are on Twitter then follow Keeper of the Peak @KoftheP, he posts condition reports sent to him. There's also various ongoing threads on the Singletrackworld forums so worth lurking there.

Hi,

Although this isn't up to date as we have an IT problem which will be fixed on the 5th Jan, apologies for this.

It's looking from Castleton up towards the face of Mam Tor.
