There are a few people using them with apparently no issues... See the last comment on this While Out Riding page.

Woah...! $120 for a Dynamo-USB regulator? Sheesh, I'm in the wrong business. Gotta be $20 of parts, tops... and that's retail cost.

Postage is only $15. It's the $120 & potential import taxes that put me off!

Arrived a few days ago for the Pugs. Just need to order a 27t duo inner for the middleburns and were good to go  If it's as wet as legend has it for WRT it may even see some action that weekend.

Finally, the postman has been!

Courtesy of FLV, I now have a TN Discovery-lite bivi bag - cheers Dude :)
I won't bore you with the saga of Royal Mail, but "Special Delivery Next Day, Guaranteed by 1pm" should carry a warning along the lines of "this is not a guarantee".

Also, I'm afraid I can't recommend getting one from Climbing Direct - I'd still be waiting I think (since 12 March). They've since refunded me though, so thats all good, but in every other respect they're a quite a bit rubbish.

Other deliveries received, in the style of london buses - nothing for ages and then they all come at once:
OMM Smock - replacement after the first one got lost in the post.
A stainless steel jug for frothing milk in with the coffee machine - also a replacement after the first one got lost in the post
Pair of Maxxis Ikon's - EXO flavour - from nextdaytyres.co.uk. They were actually delivered next day too, which I was beginning to think was no longer possible :???:

I went for 2.2's. It's what I had last year on the front, plus I can't get 2.35" tyres in my frame...

Read Dividing the Great t'other month on my Kindle, enjoyed it immensely and now want to ride the Great Divide myself...

In postman related news, the postman had been yesterday, but couldn't be bothered to leave my parcel in the porch like they usually do, so tonight I'm taking the scenic route to the gym via the delivery office (which somehow is open until 8pm in some kind of opening hours convenience shocker) to pick up my Gorillapod so I can get some photography done on bikepacking trips (amongst other things)

"Also, I'm afraid I can't recommend getting one from Climbing Direct "

I ordered one from them, they had issues with the supplier and sent me a Discovery instead (after asking) for no extra charge. I'm pretty chuffed with that for £125 and they didd keep me well up to date with what was going on.

You could've had half a bottle of Scotch instead, that WOULD help you sleep. :-bd

Isn't the internet a wonderful place. I found someone who wanted my Force Ten Spindrift 300 (Brand new and unopened) and offered me a used once Helsport Ringstind 2 in exchange.

Arrived on Friday and at last I can go bikepacking in poorer weather conditions. I can't wait.
