Lights, Exposure still the go -to?

Post by Teetosugars »

Need to upgrade my 12 year Old MaxX -D, its been refurbished a couple of years ago, but is still struggling so needs replacing.

Are exposure still the daddy of lights, and is the 6 pack worth it over the MaxX=D?

There are lights that can compete in terms of light output, but no other companies I know of with such good customer service.

I'd say a Maxx-d is more than enough. In fact I've just bought a race and it was fine on the YD300 - shorter burn time as I had the power cranked up but its a lot lighter than the maxx-d

I borrowed a Sixpack from my LBS to try out and whilst it was very impressive I ended up buying a Toro. The Sixpack is quite big and I felt it was overkill even on technical trails (although I always night ride with a helmet light as well for techy riding). I've been more than happy with the Toro and find it a great balance of size and power but if you want the ability to vaporise rabbits at 100m the Sixpack might be the light of choice!
