GSM trackers
Anyone use one? Been offered one very cheap and the subscription is £8 a month and can be inactive for £1 a month when not in use. I know there are a fair fews spots esp Cairngorm etc that are black spots but with the 3 networks covered looks like it should be mostly ok as a cheap back up compared to a spot?
Re: GSM trackers
I've no experience of GSM trackers but i do use the 'Buddy Beacon' feature on ViewRanger which would be similar but limited to one network. It provides me and my wife 'some' reassurance if i end up over due. Might be worth considering.
Re: GSM trackers
Kind of pointless.
Use phone direct, or phone connector Garmin for cellular tracking.
An advantage of a satellite tracking are for those moments when one has an accident beyond cellular coverage.
