I had been toying with the idea of doing my own winter trip taking in a few of the islands after a couple of road bike trips to Tenerife then stumbled upon it.
Who's up for the test ride in April then?

Pity it's in April, not a few weeks earlier; April looks good for riding, but hopefully the UK might be better by then as well.

Very tempted to do the test ride, if I can get the time off work. And the coronavirus doesn't stop all travel! Easy Jet shares have taken a hit recently, which doesn't bode well for where the speculators think this is going...

I rode teneriffe and tiede for a mini tour a few years ago, it was great. February, warm, sunny, mild chill in the evenings high up. Wasnt too hard to find bivi spots.

Had a bit (only a bit) of a sniff at this from a logistics point of view.
There's a whole lot ferry faffing. I reckon its a two week trip, 12 days at best if you plan to sleep very close to to a couple of the ferry ports and only spend 2 days riding on Tenerife and La Palma. The rest is taken up getting to the start and / or from the finish. Mainly due to ferry times.
I can share my reckoning if anyone wants to see, but I'm aware may prefer not to details stuff like this and just go for it

I can't be specific about November, but I've been there in October and it was lovely. Mid to high 20s on the coast, and it didn't feel much cooler on Teide, but up on the top it was incredibly windy. Once I got off the summit and started heading towards Pico Viejo the windproof came off and I was back to shorts and t-shirt.

Since my girlfriend went to Lanzarote last January, the islands have gained more of our attention.
I can well imagine doing some island hopping by bike or hike. Getting there from Switzerland without flying seems fitting too. Heck, I could ride from home and catch the ferry in Cádiz.

I have camped on Tenerife, there were 'campgrounds' scattered around here and there I think.

About 20-15 C at sea level and 10-15 C in the mountains. Generally sunny with some mist on north-facing mountains.

Nice Plan! On Sunday I would probably try to cross to Fuerteventura with the last ferry.
We recently planned a gravel option of the route that ends in El Hierro. should be completed in about 7-9 days.
I recommend to fly back from Tenerife South, so ferry back to Los Cristianos + arrange a cardboard bike box with one of the many bike shops + 20min taxi ride to the airport.

I have camped on Tenerife, there were 'campgrounds' scattered around here and there I think.

Camping is only allowed in official camping areas. Plenty of emergency shelters, in this case, set up late and strike early. Never start campfires!
