Specialized do a great plastic one, £15 or so and comes in left or right hand flavours

Anyone tried a fidlock twist? Looks a brilliant idea and more convenient than my squashed side entry cages but not sure it’s £20 betterer

Jay
Specialized Zee do the job - Ive broken couple of them (due to my clumsiness) so moved to a Leyzne one which is also working very well, and not broken it yet :-bd

Spesh zee, one left and one right means they both pull out the same side.

Another satisfied Zee user. 2 bikes/4 cages. As with many cages, it's worth making sure the bottles you use are a good fit. There are many variations and some combos are better than others.

I use the Lezyne Flow Bottle Cage Side Load and I am generally very happy with it (considering price/weight/bottle security etc). Come in L or R fitting in Black or White
£8.99 each, almost everywhere.

This.

Lezyne plastic ones are ok too, although not quite as 90 degrees side entry.

Carbon Bonty Sideswipe knockoffs from the far east. The original Sideswipe in carbon doesn't appear to exist anymore.

I'd say run with the Zee.

I use a few of these on different bikes. They work really well, nice and sturdy and play proper with a tangle

I've got the Blackburns too. I find them bloomin' awkward to get the bottle in from the side. On the upside, they're orange, so fit my bike tart colour scheme.

ah yeh I find this too with Camelbak bottles, seems easy with purist style ones. I don't mind this too much as at least it reassures me they won't fly out

I have 3 of the specialized Zee now and love em. If you look around you can get the older stock which comes aseft or right (I assume saves a few grams but from looking I felt personally that the dual entry would be mire fiddly aswell as not giving a low a profile as the olde model.

Tried the Lezune version but found it too squishy on the bottle and after 4 hours in the saddle iy became a bit of a chore to oull out the bottle (so gave it away to a friend and maybe I could have loosened it off... dont know... thw Spesh is also much lighter as its a plasticy sort of thing).

Recently have bought one of them passport cage movers to make the downtube bottle sit lower down and thus not getting as squished against the frame bag.

Erm... is that too much info :-bd ... if not then last thing: to me that £34 option seems overkill and counter productive as you'd be tied down to just the one bottle!! What happens when you forget to clean it in time or wanna use another boytle!!
