Sustrans Reivers route c2c

Post by ootini »

Anyone done this route? How much of it is off road?
Is there a better option for an off road c2c in the similar neck of the woods?

Thanks

How about Tim Woodcock's St Bees to Robin Hoods Bay. Longer distance and apparently quite an undertaking.

Or this, the off-road section over the Cheviots Hills is I have been told hard and not easy as I described it.

Don't know about the route, but there's a swanky new yha near Haltwhistle if you do ride it & are looking for somewhere to stay-

We're aiming to do this one at the end of August, bit further south than the Reivers one but mostly offroad (and lots of hills).

That's what I'm hoping! I've ridden bits and bobs of it before, but doing it all in one week should be pretty special. Just hoping for decentish weather. Ha.

That looks like just the ticket, but rather 'pointy '.
