Because I don't get on with sleeping bags and have converted over to quilts.
Today to shed a bit of wait and have another option for the hammock I cut my old cumulus 350 minus 6 sleeping bag down to make it a half bag to use with a down jacket come the spring.
Quite chuffed to feel it's thickness over my 250 Cumulus quilt but weighed in a lot less.
I took out the zip fitted the hoods elastic cord at waist height and it came in at just 377grams in a tiny stuff sack.
My first half bag

Good work John - down's not the easiest stuff to work with.

It's not the tidiest of stitching but it's holding together well.Bearbonesnorm wrote:Good work John - down's not the easiest stuff to work with.
It's amazing even after a good tidy up where those bloody down feathers get to.
