winter event: folk to ride with + London to wales transport

Post by Tom harper »

Hi,
I was due to ride the winter event on the 13th and 14th Jan with a friend but they've pulled out. I was intending to travel with them from London to wales by car.

So i'm now hoping to find some other folk to ride with but also have a spare space in my car / or would be happy to share a lift with another if they are travelling from London. Its also possible that i could collect someone en-route to wales.

As i've not done any of the Bearbones rides before i don't know how it works in terms of meets ups and riding with others so if anyone can help me out that would be appreciated. I'm a social tyre and would like to ride with others rather than setting out on a solo mission.

Cheers,
Tom.

Somebody sometimes does a lonely hearts club.

Otherwise just tag along, I think we’re sticking to road bikes this year though so not really embracing the full Bearbones Welsh winter event ethos..

I’ll probably be driving from that there London on Friday though

Hi Tom, I’m heading up on the Friday. ( from Banbury, just off the M40) Have a route (ish) planned to the cafe and a twin room booked at the star inn, happy to share both for a lift, I snore (apparently) but you’re welcome to risk it :o

Don’t worry too much, I did before the WRT but turns out that most people here like to ride in a semi-civilised fashion for a while then sleep in a field/wood ,

We’re all individuals, except me.

I woke up this morning but I’m still in the dark

Thanks Chew - I have a couple of friends taking part (wasn't sure they were going to make it) - I've also managed to find five minutes to plan a route. Will find you at the start & let you know if anything changes... Cheers again for the offer
