Riders approaching our checkpoint on day3, Langajokull in the background.
For such a small river crossing, the riders made a huge fuss about getting over. Stood on the bank trying to decide which line etc; shoes/socks off, wandering about looking for the shallowest line, shoes/socks back on once feet had been dried properly etc Somewhat put out when I marched over, suggested(jokingly) that they grow a pair, then marched back again, shoes and all!!! Day2 checkpoint was 20mtrs up the track.
View from in front of checkpoint day1, the other side of Langajokull, hence Glacier360. This was one of the roads I couldn't get down in May as it was still closed, pleased to have got down some of it, even if it was in a Landy! Unfinished business right there.
Will go back and tour the route, or a slightly bastardised version of it, next year over 4 days. July to August I imagine, unless I go back as a volunteer again next year, in which case I will do it during the week prior to the event.

Not me, (I'm better looking) but Ralph from Holland carrying out one of our cranes annual services, and he borrowed my 360 camera for a shot high over the Mersey

I'm a bit of a rubbish photographer but I suppose it's the memory the picture has as well as the image quality. Not the first full eclipse I've seen but snapped a picture that will stay with me forever. It's on a mountain road in Idaho a few miles short of the Wyoming state line, the Tetons are in the distance and it's just getting light after the darkness of totality.

Sorry, can't work the image tags properly on the phone.

Comedy moment from the Hope Scott MTB Marathon at the top of the broken road on Little Mam Tor.
Dad hits a rock info the middle of an exceptionally smelly puddle . Dumping both he and his stoker daughter for an early bath
She was not amused
Not taken by me but of me. Pulling Don up another climb. Great respect to him for finishing the 50km 1/2 marathon with only two weeks riding done, after chemo and radiographic treatment for prostrate cancer.
And here is Don taking a rest at the top of Jacobs Ladder

Sunshine & Showers during the Dirty Boar ride. Rain is still falling through the trees, whilst the sun makes a rare appearance

Four from The Heb adventure race, all bike related, three from an superb Saturday and one from a soggy Sunday.
Watermarked up as they're promo shots for the race, so it seems only right!
