I use my thin, lightweight rain smock as wind gear too.
Large Platypus weighs about 30 g.
No boxers.
Montbell bivi bag. Just shy of 200 g.
Maps... opening pandora's box; Use gps only. Backup on phone. No paper.
Cut down on the bags. Most are overbuild. Mine always fail at the velcro, not the seams. Get rid of the grosgrain and some of the cushioning. Only do this if you know how they are constructed.
Sleeping pad?

Hey, where do you carry the platypus, in your framebag?Alpinum wrote:I use my thin, lightweight rain smock as wind gear too.

I'm not able to buy any new gear right now so need to prioritise what i have and look at creative alternative from what i already own.
Don't really fancy hacking apart my bags just yet
& i'll ride through all being well, bivi and sleeping gear for if i am too tired or have to stop for some reason, will manage without pad for one night as mine weighs over 500g. Although i may yet go full disaster style, what's the worst that could happen?

Spare clothes

Oh, sorry, I have the Platy in my rucksack. For the stuff I like to ride I prefer less weight on the bike.techno mail wrote: Hey, where do you carry the platypus, in your framebag?

In other situations I stuff it into the framebag, like when I need to carry loads of water and/oe the terrain is easy.
