I like the idea generally, though I'm not a fan of races.

With all the good will in the world, anything that emerges from 'the Towers' will always have something of a laid-back air about it.

I'd be very interested - ticks lots of boxes for me.

Can you make it niche - 9.5 laps or something, with panniers?

If it's a 'bikepackers' race, maybe add in a compulsory boil a kettle one lap and brew up or setup a tarp worthy of a nights sleep mid race?

As long as the course is hard we're in.

I lost my love of racing (usually marathons) somewhere........it has not been handed in. Until now...... :)
I'd imagine with a dose of bearbones in the mix it'll be love again. I'm in boss.
So who wants my hardly used T130C RS ? It's a nice un :)
The noise goes quiet when I'm on my bike :)

sounds goood .... but i just sold my CX bike ... allso im never a fan of bike specific rules to a race think it discriminates against people who cant aford multiple bikes generally. but obviously CX races requer CX bikes and road races requiere road bikes etc etc so wouldnt be unusual .. just doesnt seem verry bare bones to specify bike rules

There's nothing set in stone yet George. However, I did say that it would be a deviation from the norm. Also, I'm hoping that whatever rules are imposed will be seen as an opportunity for some lateral thinking and ingenuity

Is there a proposed location?
Maybe it should have involve starting with 1kg of cake and a full hip flask of rum. Penalty time points added at the end for unconsumed cake or rum.
