Disk spacing

Post by BigdummySteve »

On my ecr I run a 203mm disk, not for the extra stopping power over a 180 but with the smaller disk The calliper contacts the spokes when cornering. My new fork is only rated for a 180, should I fit the big one and never grab a handful or can I use something to space the disk away from the spokes?

Could you put some spacers (washers) on the disc bolt to move the disc out?

Washers will work as Mart says or you can actually buy disc spacers.

Cheers :-bd hopefully it will get my 180 working. 203mm disks are a bit overkill anyway.
