I'm in. As the first to quit last year I've made the point of making sure I don't finish a week of night shifts the day before this year.

Never done this before, a bit skint at the moment, it's blimmin miles away and I would be back on duty at 6am on the Monday...

I'm going out for a ride in a bit and am going to decide by the time I get back. I'm thinking ride about 30 miles to Epping forest, find some mushy puddle bits and roll around in em, then push my bike through some big heaps of diddly-doo, then ride back home.....should give me a guide! :-bd

I'm in  I set my alarm for 05:30 this morning... although not specifically for this, that was to see the first yachts in the Round The Island Race go by my bivi spot overlooking the Solent but a handy by-product is being up in time to enter.

Over half full two hours in and the take-up on T shirts leads me to believe that the vast majority of bikepackers are of a certain age

So from that can I assume if I've entered, I've got a place?

Oh Stu - if you could once again arrange for someone to do brews and jackets spuds at midnight in the middle of nowhere that would be just lovely.

Thankfully all places are full, I was vaguely contemplating entering but was not sure if I'm up to it to be honest, just out of interest how would it compare to the WRT? I rode with reg's LHC group and found it reasonably easy going.

Difficult question to answer as it alters each year. What I can say is, for most there's very little rest or stoppage time on the BB200, breaks will be kept to a minimum and pace will be upped where possible to keep average speed reasonable ... and buy some time for the crap bits
