What's a suitable rim width for these? I suspect my current 25mm rims are a bit narrowAlasdairMc wrote:Maxxis Chronicle 29+ for £26.50 from Chain Reaction. This is the 3" Exo TR 120tpi version.

Is that 25mm internal? I used to run 3" tyres on Flows which was fine but didn't allow the lowest pressures to be runwhitestone wrote:What's a suitable rim width for these? Hope they are good as my HAB friendly Mavics have been sent back for a warranty claim after the ratchet buckle snapped!

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
I have the older version of these with the boa ratchet. I love them. They've done the HTR twice now and the heel padding is starting to wear away a little. I was planning to use them again this year but I've just bought a pair of these too so that I have some backup.ZeroDarkBivi wrote: Hope they are good as my HAB friendly Mavics have been sent back for a warranty claim after the ratchet buckle snapped!

I just got one of these down blankets for £20 as a top-up for our sleeping system when needed. It weighs 460g including the stuff sack on my scales. I think it is the same 'Costco throw' that the bespoke ultralight guy makes his hammock blankets from.

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
I have just bought this lightweight, credit card sized power bank for my mobile phone. It was £10 delivered. It is one to keep in the bag for those emergency 'oh crap I have broken my leg and my phone is dead' sort of moments. Weighs 86g on my scales and will put 20-30% into my Moto G4's battery. It has an integral wire and comes with an iPhone connection too for you posh people.

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
The Trans-Cambrian isn't *too* hard to follow especially if you've done any of the BB events since it passes quite close to BB Towers. There are a couple of "Wheeeee! Brilliant downhill" before you realise that the route turned off 200 metres back uphill moments Should be much drier than when I did it in Marchwhonickedmename wrote:Thanks, some maps ordered to cover the Trans-Cambrian route...(just in case)Borderer wrote:Dash4it the OS map seller has 10% off just now:

Thanks both, I was lucky and my size was available so I thought I'd give them a whirl as I know spesh shoes fit me nicely, but I've been using shimano for a few years now because I find them harder wearing and better VFM, but at £30 and another set of shoes on there way out, I'll see how these go.ZeroDarkBivi wrote:Specialized Rime reduced from £100 to £30, in limited sizes:
