Just got around to washing the bike afterwards last nights BAM trip, on the ride I picked up about four hawthorns which I pulled out due to the twigs clattering about. Once the tires were clean I pulled 5 from the back and 3 from the front. All of which the stans sealed. There must have been others which I didn't notice as well. If I had been running tubes I would have needed a bucket full
What's the best plan with thorns? Do you pull them out and leave it to the stans or just carry on? And is there a point at which you might start to worry about the tyre itself.
When they cut the hedges on my canal section it's a nightmare, last week I met a rider with his son who had to replace all there tubes after a 5 mile ride, poor man missed the rugby as well

Always say this but it's worth carrying a slime tube as your spare tube. Just in case it all goes badly and you need to put a tube in, the slime tube may just prevent a missed out thorn from ruining a ride.
