Philosophy Corner
Just for Reg.
Let's start with the age-old philosophy exam question that's often asked, but never answered:
"There's always something more interesting to do than the thing you are supposed to be doing. Discuss."

Thanks Pete!
Blimey. Erm. I'm stumped already. In the words of my hero Bomb #20 in Dark Star: "I must think on this further"...

Re: Philosophy Corner
For as long as I or anyone else can remember, I've always struggled to to do something I've being told to. It's a character trait / flaw which means that anything I haven't directly chosen to do, will always seem less interesting than something I have.
May the bridges you burn light your way

Unless you are flying helicopters; that's really rather interesting! I expect the jet jocks would say the same, although I can't imagine they get much chance to think about anything else when they are rattling round Wales at 420 knots, skimming the valley walls, with eyes peeled for 'bogeys'...

Re: Philosophy Corner
Not sure about 'more interesting' but one is frequently mildly concerned that one should be doing something 'less pointless or futile' given only three score and ten to do everything in. I mean, jetwashing the drive? Deploying a petrol-powered leafblower? Taking longer to clean a bike than the time of the preceding ride?

I got an appraisal at work once.

I'm currently attempting to persuade two centipedes to tango to YMCA rather than them stomp about and approximate letters of the alphabet.
I'm struggling to envisage anything more interesting, other than the introduction of a trombone.
