Yep - Lizard Skins DSP (now comes in a variety of thicknesses). It's a bit strange but it's it's certainly grippy, even when wet. A benefit of that is that you're likely to grip the bars less tightly and thus reduce vibrations/fatigue/numbness.

Thanks fellas.
Was thinking of some sort of cork tape but Will bear this in mind if funds allow.

The Bontrager stuff is amazing at about £13. I'm on my second set on my CX bike. Really fat and soft, but grippy in wet an muddy conditions.

Yes, Bontrager tape its what I use too, (ask the shop for a discount on it as its quite cheap to them so don't feel you have to pay the RRP). Pay around £10 a time, lasts OK.tommid wrote:The Bontrager stuff is amazing at about £13. I'm on my second set on my CX bike. Really fat and soft, but grippy in wet an muddy conditions.
As for the lizard skins tape, its great but fragile (cuts quite badly in my experance and a quick google and i found that i was not alone).
