UK fatbike forum

Post by Solo »

Anyone know what happened to it?

It's seem to be down a few days. Not really seen much other than jokes in the STW thread. But I know some from here use it. Any news?

There's a lot of back-story but it's all to do with the owner of the URL not being involved in the forum but not wanting to hand it over to the current mod team. I believe there is some sort of meeting this weekend at which point a way forward should be found. I have, for some time, been in favour of starting afresh but there's a lot of (interesting and still relevant) history on there and it would be a shame to lose it all.

I'm hoping to find out more in a couple of days and will post back here when I have an update.

Ah thought it was my dodgy computer not liking the forum address. Hope they can keep the forum archive

@ scotroutes
Thank you so much.

I'm getting withdrawal symptoms. It is such a friendly and helpful place. I've learnt loads.

Hope it works out.

Thanks again.

ScotRoutes, I agree, a great deal of info etc that would be a shame to lose,
I know there's been some offers of help, now and in the past, let's just hope
The guys who are trying to resolve this manage to do so....not seen the Stw
Stuff as I've never felt the compulsion to join, used to be the last mag I used
To read but for me has lost its way....

Even if the forum dies, it would be good if it could be archived, due to the info and story's. Is a very helpful place
