Today in the barn.
Okay, can anyone guess what today's project was?
Just need to make a couple of minor alterations to the mould and who knows, it might even become a production item

Something to both bury s**t and stop such afformentiomed s**t from flinging back up into waterbottles?
An afro comb for bald people?
Thoughwithout any scale of size it could be a superlight portable bike ramp? For adding GNAR to overnighters?

Re: Today in the barn.
You know, I never thought of using a drain pipe ... it would have saved all the effort of making a mould and heat forming them.In other news, Travis Perkins in Newtown are out of stock of drain pipes

Re: Today in the barn.
Took a bit of searching but I wasn't dreaming, this thread does exist...
Having been out on the Monstercrosser yesterday riding Dorset and Wiltshire's muddiest drove roads, I find myself dreaming of some bottle s*** deflectors so I don't have to keep relocating my bottle into my back pocket, resort to the camelback or fit full mudguards.
Any chance these deflectors went into production? I suspect not as I can't find them on the shop page.

Not yet Paul but still on the cards. I shall make you some and you can try / test them if you like?

The other option is to get a bottle with a lid on. I use an elite bottle with a lid if I want to protect the spout from mud, but also have the special lid to go on a camelbak podium bottle (but I've yet to use it)
Re: Today in the barn.
Would love to.Bearbonesnorm wrote:Not yet Paul but still on the cards. I shall make you some and you can try / test them if you like?
I use Podium bottles but didn't know they existed, thanks. Looks like it might be a two-handed operation to remove / refit though (expecting that it'll be covered in s*** so I don't want to pull it off with my teeth).but also have the special lid to go on a camelbak podium bottle (but I've yet to use it)

I'm going to try making something similar using plastic drainpipe but with more holes on the long section so that it doubles as a water bottle cage mover downer.

Re: Today in the barn.
Think you'll need something thicker than drainpipe Colin. I can't see it taking a thread very well or supporting the weight of a bottle.I'm going to try making something similar using plastic drainpipe but with more holes on the long section so that it doubles as a water bottle cage mover downer.

Re: Today in the barn.
I was hoping that it might work if only moving it by a couple of cm. I know it wouldn't take a thread so it would have to have a small nut behind*Bearbonesnorm wrote:Think you'll need something thicker than drainpipe Colin.
