worth keeping (old but little used) sleeping bag.

Post by ton »

many many moons ago, when i was a slip of a lad, i managed to be able to squeeze myself into a Snugpac softie 3 sleeping bag. god knows how, because i have just found it in a bag, and tried it. i cant get it up over my shoulders now.

anyway, it was only used 2 or 3 times on polaris events, maybe a weeks use. but it looks a bit flat. it will be 20 years old and has been in a compression bag the whole time.

is it worth try to bring it bag to life?
is it of any use to anyone?

anyone want it? foc obviously

It's probably lost quite a bit of its insulation properties. However, it might perk up with a few days hung somewhere warm and would certainly do someone for the warmer month(s).

It's the 20 years compressed that does the damage - synthetic does really not like it.

There are a couple of companies that clean and repair down bags.
Could send it to them see what they think.

They'd probably think, why has this bloke sent us a synthetic sleeping bag?
