Star Inn, Friday 13th.

Post by Bearbonesnorm »

Can anyone planning on staying in the carpark at the Star Inn on the Friday night before Church or Chapel, just drop them a quick email or give them a call just to let them know ... 'tis simply so they know how much food to buy in (all local, fresh produce you see) and they'll also know whether to buy a special keg of ale too

Can't get my blasted phone email to work to the Star. Mike, it seems you're up for a few sherberts as well, I'm away from home at mo, any chance of dropping them a line and adding my support to yours pls? I'd vote for an interesting Welsh beer - Purple Moose or whatever. I reckon I could shift 3 or 4 pints so if you can drink the rest of the barrel then it would be worth them getting it in...

Thanks mate, "Reg"

Tried ringing them earlier but got the barman who isn't the owner and he wasn't sure what I was on about (well obviously nobody is, least of all me, but that's not the point). Is it Gareth the owner, Stu? Can't remember.

'Not a drinker' - ah sorry, your thumbs up confused me :). You'll have to request a 'rare' non-alc special - sarsparilla used to be the stuff I believe :)

Anyroad, ta.

Yes, Gareth and Karen.

However, haven't you already booked yourself in for the night? This was purely a heads-up for those dossing in the carpark, etc.

Yes I have but I hadn't responded to the ale request thingy. Sorry if causing confusion (as ever)...

No need, I don't think the ale was a request that required a response, they just wanted an idea of numbers and you were already accounted for

Is it me or is the BB calendar throwing folks for a loop? BB calendar shows CoC as this weekend (7th Jan).

I'd had it in my head it was this weekend after seeing it on the calendar for ages.

Hey, that calendar's nowt to do with me ... the problem may be that things were added going off dates from previous years.

No worries...figured it was some sort of oversight as described. Glad you posted this as I'd not looked at the website for ages and you've saved me a *lot* of swearing tomorrow morning.
