I think I'd have tried following the fence a way to see if I could locate the power source (often a little solar battery unit thingy) and detached it rather than keep getting hit again and again (as funny as that was to watch).

My thoughts as well. I've been tickled by a few electric fences over the years, usually unexpectedly because I didn't know it was electric. The last time was on the Braunton 150 last year trying to follow a BW through a bog and the fence was the only thing to hang on to :roll:
