How do I post a gpx that I created on bikehike then downloaded to my computer so that people can copy it direct from the post?

You need to upload the file somewhere. Do you have a Google Drive as you can store it there and link to it?

Not sure, will look into it, bit inept when it comes to computers

Or upload it to ridewithgps or gpsies for people to download.

I tried to upload one as an attachment here the other day, but it kept failing so don't try that.

The extension gpx is not allowed.

I think i've cracked it using GPSies. I did post it with mapmyride but not many people seem to use it.
