Garmin Oregon rattling in mount.

Post by ctznsmith »

As the title says my Oregon has started rattling in the mount. It seems safely connected as in it won't eject itself but it just rattles which is annoying.

Pretty sure that it's the back of the unit that has worn not the mount as it does it in a fairly new mount as well.

What's the bodge to fix this?

Please don't say get a new back part for the unit as this is number 2. I broke the battery connectors on back part number 1.

I applied some Sugru to one worn mount. The mounts on the other four bikes are fine though - which suggests it's the mount and not the case.
