Rear Light mount

Post by dlovett »

Has anybody come across a gizmo that will adapt a standard seat post mounting light (exposure red eye with rubber band mount) to fit on to a saddle rail?

If so can you give me any details?

Many thanks

I might have mis-interpreted that, but in case I haven't, I'll post anyway.

(I'm expecting the diameter of the redeye to be the same as the flare and traceR)

Thanks Zippy, but it's a different size according to exposure. I know somebody that has one so I'll try it myself to see.
If it's smaller then it might work if I can pack it out a bit. You can with difficulty, remove the mount from it.

You would think they would make them all the same size and then sell that as an extra mount.

Couple of holes and a cable tie (+ some shims) might sort the rest as a neat solution. Or if you know someone who's handy with a bit of 3D CAD, they could basically make the exposure one for sale, but to the dimensions of the redeye - then get it 3D printed (have to be a friend with a 3D printer to make it cost effective I would have thought).
