My Surly is in beautiful condition and last Autumn had a brand new Spa cycles chainset (48/38/28); UN55 bottom bracket; SRAM 8 speed chain; 11-32 Shimano 8 speed cassette; SKS mudguards and new bar tape. It has had hardly any use since then, so the drivetrain is virtually as new.
Wheels are mavic 211/212 rims with LX/Alivio hubs, running true and with reasonable rim life. Schwalbe Marathon 26 x 1.75 tyres are about a year old and show no signs of wear. The paintwork is pretty well unblemished.
Brake levers are dia compe 'v' type and the bar end shifters are dia compe friction units, so can be used up to 10 speed if you want to upgrade. V brakes are deore. Specialized bg saddle.
Midge bars. Big brass bell and 3 bottle matching cages included. Can send more pics if required.
Shown set up for me at 5' 8" height. Should be okay for 5'7" - 5'9" ish depending upon set up, body shape etc!
