FS: Cotic 'Soul' rolling chassis

Post by gairym »

I'm just dipping my toe in the water with regards to this sale as I've gone and gotten an idea stuck in my head and so am thinking that if I could sell this then I could make my dream a reality.....

So, up for grabs is:

Frame - Cotic 'Soul' (large)
Forks - DT Swiss 'XMC130'
Front wheel - Mavic 'Crossride' (15mm)
Rear Wheel - XT hub on a Mavic XM719
Headset - Hope (black)
Bottom Bracket - Hope (black)

It's a really, really nice ride (only superseded when I fell in love with the Cotic 'Solaris') and has been unused since last years There 'N Back.

I bought the forks from Ian a while back and they've not been ridden since I bought 'em.

Ian's blurb went:
130mm of silky smooth air-sprung travel, lock down function, compression and rebound adjustment etc.
15mm bolt through, 26" wheel.
192mm steerer.
Stanchions are completely unmarked, and only a few other marks elsewhere from light use.
(I paid £155 for the forks earlier on the year)

The wheels are in great condition having done less than 300 miles each.

The frame is used and scuffed (as is usual for a used frame) but in perfect working order.

Looking for £400 and could post or bring to the Ford Fiesta for the potential lucky recipient.

Any interest?

(Photos available upon request but I'll have to get my mother-in-law to take them as it's in her garage and I don't want to bother her unless someone's interested)

I'll confess as it's not a secret but more uninteresting.....

I was thinking about buying (ideally used) an On-one 'Lurcher' with rigid forks and building myself up a nice light bikepacking machine.

I've got a few 29er wheels hanging around and so if I kept that drivetrain, brakes and cockpit from the Cotic then I could potentially have a complete bike for no financial outlay

Upon reflection (having ridden it last weekend) this bike is no longer for sale.

26" is dead my ass - I love this bike!!!!!

The new forks performed beyond expectation (thanks Ian) and it is an all round beauty of a machine.

LONG LIVE THE 26ER!
