Wtd. Avid post to post brake adapter

Post by HUX »

Guys I'm in need of a 185mm front post to post brake adaptor for a new build if anyone has 1 lying around. Probably be an Avid or Hayes. Cheers

I have used 5 mm spacer on the end of a standard 180mm post mount adaptor (bolted end) when I was using a 185mm avid disc with std shimano components.

I’ll have a quick look I’ve just taken a 180ish disk off my Fargo

Wrong size, only 180, I’ve just bought one for the rear, it was only £6.50

It was a while back now, iirc, it was the spacer blocks from some V brakes that I used. Had no problems, including descending off Snowdon where I think I got brake fade (on a bicycle) for the first and only time in my life!

Hux,
After much routing and searching, I have found the offending article!
Avid 185mm post to post adapter.
Chuck us your address across and I’ll get it in post.
Call it good karma, mate. Also wouldn’t like to think of anyone packing out their brakes with washers????
