Peak District Spring thing. Go on then

Post by ianfitz »

It sounds like the Spring Thing is A Thing. And I fancy jumping on that band wagon.

I'm suggesting a peak based outing meeting at noon ish at a train station TBC. On the 24th.

I need to be in Edale fairly early on the Sunday so selfishly the bivy will be close to the valley. The Edake Skyline fell race is on Sunday so if any one wants to hang about to watch others suffering there'll be opportunities!

I'd quite like to get a few miles in but can plan two routes that start and end at the same places. One longer, one shorter.

Shout up if you fancy coming.

Am interested Ian.
Could do with knowing what sort of distance and what sort of pace you are looking at?
Sounds good though.

Maybe meet at chinley station. Ride the southern loop of the Peak 200 to baslow then cut over to edale. That would be about 90km. Would aim to get to a pub for food at 8ish, probably the nags head in edale.

The shorter ride could start at chinley too that's not far from edale as the crow flys so there are many options to get there.
